Accelerated Christian Education
Our main curriculum consists of 6 basic subjects at the elementary level (5 completely in English, and 1 in Spanish) these subjects are: Math, English, Word Building, Science, Social Studies, and the subject of Spanish.
Starting at the middle school level, and at the high school level (Middle & High School) students begin to see more specialized subjects, for example, Math becomes Algebra I, Social Studies becomes World History, etc.
Additionally, in High School, subjects aimed at entering the University are taught, subjects such as General Business, Accounting, Computer Literacy, among others. The main hallmark of this system's program is the focus on wisdom as a crucial part of the learning process.
The academic program of A.C.E. integrates 60 ideal character traits and traditional values within the natural format of learning, presented in the form of creative and entertaining drawings according to the level in the one that each student finds,
In addition to our main curriculum, complementary subjects are taught to complete a comprehensive education, these are: Music (singing, piano, guitar, etc.) Programming, Physical Education.
The plus.
Being an A.C.E. Model School, means we get to participate in extracurricular activities, such as Regional Student Convention for students from 13 years of age and up. And recreational outings for the most outstanding students (four times a year), in addition to international programs such as Service Adventure and Educational Assistance. Through the A.C.E. program, students ages 16 and up have the opportunity to attend a mission trip where they can experience helping communities in need around the world.
Programmed Instruction
An essential part of our curriculum is Programmed Instruction, which is designed so that the student works in a self-taught way, with the support of a Supervisor or Monitor for any questions the student may have.
A.C.E.'s academic philosophy can be summed up in the following "Five Laws of Learning":
01.
Level.
The student must be placed in a curriculum LEVEL where he can perform best.
LEVEL recognizes that all students are different.
"So we, being many...having different gifts, according to the grace given to us..." (Romans 12:5-6)
02.
Goals.
The student must set reasonable and appropriate GOALS that he can achieve in a prescribed and reasonable period of time.
GOALS reflect good judgment.
"For who among us does not sit down first, and calculate the expenses... (Luke 14:28)
03.
Motivation.
The learner must be MOTIVATED through encouragement and support, and control through directives and disciplines, in order to assimilate, use and experience the educational material.
MOTIVATION is that inner desire encouraged by the supervisor/teacher, who is always interested.
"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord..." (Colossians 3:23)
04.
Measure.
Student learning must have appropriate MEASURE applied to the results.
The MEASURE of the results is related to the commitment.
"For from everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required..." (Luke 12:48)
05.
Reward.
Student learning should receive
recognition and REWARD for your courage, effort and importance.
The REWARD is appropriate
recognition for the efforts of the pupil.
"Reaching out to what lies ahead, I press on to the goal for the prize of the high calling
of God in Christ Jesus..." (Philippians 3:13-14)
